RESTAURANG LOUIS
Söderhallarna,
Medborgarplatsen. Louis has through the years worked its way
up to one of the nicest jazz clubs of Stockholm. Very simple,
they only put effort in what is most important: the music.
Foremost a place for listening and having a drink, but there
is also a small dance floor. Free entrance.

ECKERÖLINJEN
Each week there is a popular sunday dance at seas. The
boat leaves Grisslehamn at 15.00 and gets back at 19.30. Find

This is such an unusual thing as an alcohol free jazz
club. It is situated at the café of "Nobba brass
& Nubbe" at Magnus Ladulåsgatan 3. Find more

A unique dance club where Lindy hop, Charleston, tap and related
dances are the only ones allowed. Young, hot and different.
Only live bands on the stage (no dead ones). Mariahissen.

OMÅTTLIG DANS
Omåttlig dans is a very vivid dance organisation, consisting
primarily of performances of Swedish folk dances. They arrange
events where different dances and music meet. Often they mix
with swing and then the lindy dancers come running. Warning:
many dancers of one style may be talked into something else
completely and "disappear" from the one they come

STOCKHOLM LINDY EXCHANGE
The first European Lindy exchange was taking place in Stockholm
from 28 February to 4 March. Dancers from the USA and Europe
invaded the town for the various dance events taking place.

ÅNGBÅTEN BLIDÖSUND
The finest thing you can do in Stockholm in the summer is
to go for a jazz ride with the old, original steamboat Blidösund.
In the basement coal is shovelled, in the kitchen steamboat
beef is being prepared and in the front the jazz band is playing.
The trip goes out in the archipelago or into the lake of Mälaren.
Stockholmers and tourists together. Departure from Skeppsbron

Regeringsgatan 74. Nalen is alive again, stronger than ever.

museum of Sweden is situated in Strömsholm. All summer
long, every day, a large range of jazz bands is playing. Come

THE HERRÄNG SWING BUS 2001
The dance group The Rhythm Hot Shots arrange a swinging road-trip
through historical Europe. From Zurich via Munich, Prague,
Berlin, Hamburg and Copenhagen/Lund to the Herräng Dance
Camp in Sweden. There will be shows and dancing in all cities
together with Jennie Löbel & Swing Kings. There are

THE HERRÄNG DANCE CAMP
In july and august the worlds biggest dance camp for Lindy
hop, Boogie Woogie and tap is held. Dancers from all over
the world is totally changing the small village of Herräng.
